THE REVOLUTION OF CASSANDRA is an independent graphic novel based on the award-winning screenplay.
Cassandra is the dread-lock & Birkenstock equivalent to Lara Croft. An action-romance in the tradition of Romancing The Stone, Jumangi, and The Lost City.
A female Don Quixote living life as it should be.
"A story about using
your voice for what
you believe in,
not complaining about
what you’re against!"

This Revolution starts with a story.

"His story about belief, activism, and the power of sisterhood is now being published as a three-part comic book series. For Howell, this pivot wasn’t just about finding a new platform for The Revolution of Cassandra, it was about staying true to a story he believed the world needed to hear."
- S. Edwards Final Draft
"If you’re looking for an immersive work with a true cinematic look and feel, then The Revolution of Cassandra is for you.
It is a mature work in the sense that adults will enjoy it for its more adult and sophisticated sensibility."

USE MY VOICE
A few years back my friend and film director Eric Howell sent me a screenplay he was writing called The Revolution of Cassandra. This time, instead of a film, he wanted to make it into a graphic novel.
As I read it, I kept hearing this song I’d been working on over and over in my head. I told Eric I didn’t know why, but I knew I should show it to him because it felt like “Use My Voice” and Cassandra lived in the same world—eerily so.
The power of love and truth and sisterhood standing up to the broken machine. Hanging onto the belief that humanity is worth fighting for even after seeing how messed up we can be. It was only a couple of verses then, but Eric felt that connection between our projects too and urged me to finish it.
I felt simultaneously humbled and lifted by how many different people—artists, friends, my band, our producer—came together to pour their love into the song and make it what it is now. Eric directed the video, truly a feat to accomplish during the height of the pandemic, which was only possible because so many people cared about it, and only filled it with more purpose and meaning.
Now it’s our turn to shine that light onto Cassandra—the piece of art that helped fuel and inspire the song in the first place. Issue 2 in our Echoes from the Void project is entirely dedicated to “Use My Voice” and The Revolution of Cassandra, connecting the song and story just as Eric and I feel they were meant to be.

But everyday a new love begins and we get to try again.

This is a story about how two sisters tried to do the right thing and started a Revolution.
