Eric D. Howell
Eric D. Howell is an international award-winning writer, director, and photographer. His newest foray into storytelling is via a graphic novel based on a highly acclaimed screenplay, THE REVOLUTION OF CASSANDRA.
After working his way through technical filmmaking, Eric joined the Screen Actors Guild in 1992 as a stuntman and actor. This experience propelled him into stunt coordination, cinematography, and directing.
After directing narrative television and documentaries for NGOs in developing nations, Eric earned a degree in screenwriting from the Minneapolis School of Cinema (MCTC). He was dubbed by Shoot! Magazine “as one of the industry’s crop of new directors to watch”, has won, or been a finalist multiple times in writing competitions for FADE IN Screenwriting Magazine and FINAL DRAFT’S Big Break.
His short, ANA’S PLAYGROUND won top awards at over 30 festivals around the world and was short-listed for an Academy Award nomination. He is a McKnight Artist Fellowship winner and his latest award winning screenplay THE REVOLUTION OF CASSANDRA is being released as a graphic novel
His last feature film was VOICE FROM THE STONE starring Emilia Clarke and featured a closing title track SPEAK TO ME, written and performed by Amy Lee of Evanescence. He is represented by United Talent Agency. His work can be seen at ericdhowell.com
